David Mullins

David Mullins
David Mullins was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Crossroad in 2021. He is the 13th administrator since Crossroad’s founding in 1883.
David was Crossroad’s Chief Operating Officer from 2009-2021. In that position he was responsible for the overall administration of the treatment programs and services delivered by Crossroad. David earned his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, his master’s in Psychology from Bowling Green State University, and an MBA from The University of Northwestern Ohio. He is also a Diakonal Minister in the United Church of Christ and a member of the 2017 class of Leadership Fort Wayne.

Shirley Ryan

Shirley Ryan
Shirley Ryan, MS Ed, LMFT, LMHC, started her Crossroad career as a Therapist in 2012. She was named Chief Operating Officer in April 2021, and is responsible for the overall administration of the treatment programs and services delivered by Crossroad. Prior to that, she served as Director of Clinical Services since 2016. Shirley earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Ball State University and her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Indiana University – Purdue University, Fort Wayne.

Monika Buchanan

Monika Buchanan
Monika Buchanan joined Crossroad in 2015 as an Administrative Assistant at Crossroad Academy and became Intake Specialist in 2017. Monika works with placing agencies and families to gather placement information, finalize admission into Crossroad programs, and welcome new clients. She monitors admissions and discharges to ensure children in need are admitted to Crossroad in a timely fashion. Monika earned her Associate Degree in General Studies and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at Indiana Institute of Technology.

Beth McNeal
As Director of Human Resources, Beth McNeal manages the recruitment, orientation, and retention of Crossroad personnel. She also designs, implements, evaluates, and maintains our compensation and benefits programs and ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal labor regulations. Beth earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Indiana University – Purdue University, Fort Wayne and joined Crossroad in 1994.

Beth McCord
Chief Development Officer Beth McCord has been with Crossroad since 2022. She is a Fort Wayne native who is a long-time non-profit communications and fundraising professional. She has her master’s degree in Public Management/Public Policy and her undergraduate degree is in Healthcare Administration, both from Indiana University. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive and has her Certification in Fundraising Management from the IU School of Philanthropy. She also has a certificate in Brand Strategy and Aging and Disabilities.

Mark Adang

Mark Adang
Mark Adang first joined Crossroad in 2004 as a lead Youth & Family Specialist and then became the assistant manager of our boy’s locked-secure unit until leaving in 2006. Mark rejoined Crossroad as a Wraparound Facilitator in 2020. He joined the Development team in 2022 as the Donor Relations Director. Mark is responsible for engaging, maintaining, and growing our individual, faith-based, and corporate donor base. In his role, he communicates Crossroad’s vision, mission, and programs to individuals, groups, businesses, churches, and foundations.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne and completed additional work in Applied Behavioral Analysis with an autism concentration at Ball State University.

The Rev. Christina Ryan Perkins

Christina Ryan Perkins
The Reverend Christina Ryan Perkins joined Crossroad as Chaplain and Director of Religious Life Support Services in 2018. Pastor Christina holds regular weekly worship services for interested Crossroad clients and staff members and provides a variety of religious life programming. She is a U.C.C. ordained minister.
Reverend Perkins graduated from Berea College in Kentucky and received her Master of Divinity degree from Campbell University in North Carolina. She is an alumna of AmeriCorps, providing literacy services in Appalachia.

Diane Kaehr

Diane Kaehr, MS, LMFT, LMHCA joined Crossroad in 2006 and served in various roles before being promoted to Director of Clinical Services in 2022. In her current position, she is responsible for all aspects of treatment services to clients and their families to ensure that clinical treatment is delivered in a comprehensive manner and meets the organizational goals and treatment philosophy. As a supervisor, she is responsible for orientation and training, staff oversight, team building, performance evaluations, handling routine disciplinary actions, and ensuring the implementation of treatment strategies and positive outcomes for clients and their families.

Skye Rittenhouse

Skye Rittenhouse
Skye Rittenhouse, MSW, joined Crossroad’s team in 2022 as the Director of Children’s Services. In this role, she is responsible for promoting a safe and effective treatment milieu for clients in residential programs, providing oversight of residential units, coordinating with other departments to achieve excellent service delivery, and assisting in maintaining licensing and accreditation standards within the residential program. Before coming to Crossroad, Skye previously worked as a therapist with children and teens at a local private agency after working in the wraparound program for four years, serving children and families by assisting them with connections to community resources. Skye earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology and her Masters of Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University

Deborah Howard

Deborah Howard joined Crossroad’s team in 2021 as the Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, she is responsible for working with accreditation agencies, leading organizational audits, and actively ensuring Crossroad continues to provide quality services. Before coming to Crossroad, she gained valuable experience working with adults and youth as Director of Adolescent Residential Services at Park Center in Fort Wayne. Deborah earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University, a Master of Business Management from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership through the University of Phoenix. She has also been certified as a Credentialed Sexually Abusive Youth Professional (CSAYP) through IN-AJSOP since 2012.

Kirk Doehrmann

Kirk Doehrmann
Kirk Doehrmann is the Principal of Crossroad Academy, our accredited alternative school. He joined our team in 2019 and leads a team of teachers, aides, and administrative staff to provide a comprehensive educational service program to meet our students' individual and collective needs.
Kirk received his Bachelor of Science in English and Secondary Education, with a minor in Journalism, from IPFW. He also received his master's degree in Educational Administration from IPFW. In addition, he earned his Education Specialist degree from Indiana State University. Before joining Crossroad's team, Kirk served in various roles in the education system, including as a teacher, administrator, superintendent, and athletic director.

Lisa Spears

Lisa Spears
Lisa Spears, MSN, RN joined Crossroad as the Director of Health Services in 2022. She is directly responsible for providing a comprehensive health services program for all Crossroad clients. In her role, she also educates clients on the importance of self-care and developing healthy lifestyle habits.
Lisa received her Associate of Science in Nursing from the University of Saint Francis in 2018 and a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Administration from Western Governors University in 2022.

Mackinzie Sharpe

Mackinzie Sharpe
Mackinzie Sharpe joined Crossroad’s team in 2019 as our Resource Development Director. She is responsible for ongoing development functions, which include planned giving, grant securement, and donor engagement. In her role, she communicates Crossroad’s vision, mission, and programs to individuals, groups, businesses, churches, and foundations.
Mackinzie graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration.

Alex Wulpi

Alex Wulpi
Alex Wulpi began as Crossroad's Communications Director in 2022. Before joining the agency, he had experience in political campaigns and advertising agencies, as well as nonprofit development at the United Way of Allen County. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric and Public Advocacy from Purdue University Fort Wayne, following five years in the Marine Corps as an infantry squad leader.
As Communications Director, his responsibilities include public relations, social media, brand management, internal and external communications, and conveying the mission and vision of Crossroad to the world.
