Recreation
The Recreation program at Crossroad is designed to engage residents both physically and mentally as a complement to their treatment plans. Resident participation in the recreation program helps reduce problem behaviors and improve wellness.
A wide variety of activities are offered, both on- and off-campus. Residents enjoy time in our game room playing billiards, ping pong, video games, and more. They may choose a workout in the fully-equipped fitness center. When outdoors, the children enjoy many activities including kickball, bike riding, basketball, soccer, and baseball.
Clients may choose to participate in a long list of special interest clubs. Past groups have included Zumba Fitness, Lego Club, Girl Time, Arts & Crafts, Book Club, Fishing Club, Praise Dance Team, and Yoga. And, when residents head off-campus, they have enjoyed outings to baseball, basketball, and hockey games, area parks and festivals, movies, and special dinner occasions.
Our recreation staff members work with Crossroad Academy to provide incentive programs for good school behavior and they work with employees all around campus to organize holiday celebrations, the Crossroad Olympics, and the annual Family Fun Days.
